There are many reasons why this has become the case, in particular the rise of Online International Sales fuelled by Our AUD vs the US Dollar, Ease of technology, shipping and Our Population (ie Buying Power), plus and a raft of other issues including the lack of Government Enforced Import protection measures, the high cost of Australian Postage services and Credit Card protection for Australian Businesses selling overseas (Australian Banks Fail to provide protection to Australian Retailers, therefore narrowing down the potential Australian Market Share to those only in Australia).
